Cuming County to host a 2-day Tractor & Safety Equipment Training on Tuesday, May 28th and Wednesday, May 29th in West Point.

Nebraska Extension and Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Public Health, have announced plans for the annual “tractor safety” training courses scheduled at 8 sites across Nebraska in late May and early June.

Nebraska 4-H requires all members enrolled in a livestock project to complete annual quality assurance certification through the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals program. The program has an online system available at YQCAProgram.org.

Programs presented by Nebraska Extension are research-based and produced by specialists from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln, the National 4-H Council and various universities and organizations throughout the United States.

As 4-H participants, your students will also have the opportunity to take part in 4-H activities outside the classroom. Camps, special events, contests, and the Cuming County Fair are a few additional activities students may participate in.
